Sir: Unfortunately, people in Pakistan are being subjected to too much of corruption and bad governance these days and ironically, all in the name of democracy. They are not only getting dismayed and disillusioned with the politicians, they have also started doubting the suitability of democracy for the people of Pakistan. Therefore an idea comes to the mind and quite a plausible one too, that we all in our respective constituencies protest outside the houses of our respective MNAs and MPAs for their not doing enough for us, such as getting us uninterrupted electric power supply round the clock. We would hope to get a promise from them that they shall not contest elections again as they have failed us in delivering what was expected of them. This way, we will get rid of the old corrupt and incompetent politicians; it is also quite likely that we may find fresh political aspirants who could be honest, dedicated and more competent.
