Village without facilities

Author: Rameez Makhdoomi

Sir: The Piyaro Faqir village and several others nearby villages are without any roads and primary schools. Their total population is about 40,000. People have complained and brought it to the attention of the officials concerned of Benazirabad district. They have even written to the secretariat of President Asif Ali Zardari but in vain. It seems that MNAs and MPAs who promised before the general elections of 2008 that these villages would be provided with roads and primary schools did so just to get people’s votes and win the elections.

Once again, we appeal to Benazirabad district officials to provide us with these basic facilities as soon as possible.
