Sir: I want to draw the attention of the higher authorities of Balochistan towards problems in the education sector of the province. According to the Human Rights Watch report, more than 22 teachers and academicians were killed from 2008-2010 by various militant organisations. Recently a new militant organisation, called Tanzeem al-Islami al-Furqan, issued pamphlets in Panjgur and other surrounding areas, instructing the people to stop sending their children to English medium schools and language centres. Many schools were vandalised in the areas of Kech and Panjgur, which showed much control the group had acquired. It also reflects on the bad security situation of these areas. Our law enforcement agencies are busy fighting the Baloch insurgents, but no one is interested to seize these enemies of Islam and education.
It is my humble request to all the concerned officials, to prevent our education system from decaying further in the hands of a few self-centred and obnoxious people.
