Sir: A citizen of Pakistan should have only one CNIC, should be a registered voter at only that place where he/she resides and should be allowed to cast only one vote. This should be the same case for people contesting the elections. A person should have only one registered vote and should be allowed to contest only from the constituency where he/she is residing and should be a resident of that constituency where his/her vote is registered. A person contesting elections from three or four constituencies and winning from all seats should be made to vacate three of them so that the government does not have to spend its resources on those vacant seats for the by-elections, which is a total waste of money for the government.
I implore the concerned authorities to please limit the people contesting elections from only that one constituency where they reside so that they can represent the people of their areas. Say, a person living in Sindh or Punjab and contesting the election from Balochistan cannot be a representative of the people of Baluchistan as that person may not have even visited Balochistan even once during his/her tenure.
