Sir: I would like to draw the attention of the government of Punjab to the heinous crime committed by those hawkers who sell unclean water in mineral water bottles. I was going to Gujranwala from Lahore last week when a hawker boarded the bus I was on to sell juices, potato chips and mineral water along with other such items. I bought one mineral water bottle and drank it when I felt thirsty. The water did not taste good. Being suspicious, I kept the bottle with me to test the water later on. After having the water examined, it was found that it was unhygienic — it contained unhealthy bacteria. For the sake of making money, these people must not be allowed to play with the lives of the people. I would like to request the government of Punjab to take serious action against these people and put a stop to this practice that endangers the lives of the people.
