Sir: Nowadays, our entertainment industry is obsessed with ‘morning shows’ whether on an entertainment channel or a news channel. Moreover, the main focus of these morning shows is the desi wedding. Every other week, these shows revolve around a wedding, the aspects of a wedding or the many styles of a wedding. I have never come across a show that follows any constructive or educational topic, which helps to form a better society, give people relevant knowledge and information or generate productivity among people, especially among women. I am not against the concept of morning shows — the whole idea behind a daytime show is for the viewer to have a good and productive time. However, the way our television channels are catering to this need is neither fruitful nor useful. They need to come out of the mindset of lavish marriage ceremonies and weddings, and produce some productive and constructive morning shows.
