Sir: One of the biggest problems in Pakistan is terrorism. Though it is a global issue, in Pakistan it is a phenomenon that is only increasing. People are facing a war-like situation. This critical situation is caused by several factors, which include social, political, economic, religious, and theories of external hands and international conspiracies. No place is safe anymore. The illiteracy rate has made Pakistan vulnerable to terrorism. Pakistan’s economy has greatly been affected by this plague. Our religion defines the relationship of Muslims with others, which should be based on peace, mutual respect and trust. My request to the authorities is to try to control terrorism and take effective remedial actions to curb this problem.
