Sir: Pakistan is a country where people possess limitless potential and the perseverance to survive and push on. However, in return, the country really does not give back to those hoping to achieve ‘the dream’. Most of the wealth in this nation belongs to those who exploit these common people with potential and hope. We see people working in deplorable conditions, particularly in factories and the manufacturing industry. Why is it that proper safety standards and procedures are not met? Why do we have a nation of big-wig employers who are all about the money and hardly seem to care about the welfare of those who toil for them day and night?
I truly wish to see a Pakistan where the common man can profess working in humane and conducive conditions, where his will to grow and exceed expectations is encouraged and not just dismissed. Is it too much to ask that employers take care of their employees?
