The devil in disguise

Author:

Sir: Over the years, technology has led to multiple advancements but it has been harming us without us realising. People in olden days used to feel secure. Education was valued and friends and neighbours were highly regarded. People were not judged on the basis of which car they drove but on the basis of their characteristics, personality and the manner in which they interacted with each other. Children used to respect their elders and teachers. Brands and prestigious institutions did not bring in differences amongst cousins. Today, every individual is trying to suppress the other; money is the only concern. Now we have lazy teenagers lying in their beds using social media, a world of video games and no healthy sporting activities. Skype conversations have replaced family reunions and text messages have replaced how a son took the trouble of picking up the phone and inquiring about how his mother was doing.
