People protest against corruption of govt contractor in Jacobabad

JACOBABAD: A large number of residents of Jaan Mohammad Talani colony took out a protest rally against contractor for using substandard material and committing corruption in development work and recorded their protest by taking snake into hand in front of residence of PPP MNA Mir Eijaz Khan Jakhrani and then blocked the DC Office Jacobabad Chowk, here on Friday. The rally was led by Mir Gul Muhammad Talani, the PPP ward member, and others. Speaking on the occasion, leaders said that the development funds of MNA and MPA has been awarded to notorious contractor Razzaq Jaat, who is famous in committing corruption in development works, and no one has courage to ask him about development works in Jacobabad, they added. They further said that despite spending billion of rupees, the condition of the city remained deteriorating due to which people of Jacobabad are being faced several hardships adding that they have complained higher authorities, but all in vain. They demanded of the higher authorities to take notice of the corruption and substandard material used by contractor and play their role to provide justice otherwise they threatened to extend their protest circle.
