The Kech museum

Author: Daily Times

Sir: The archaeological sites of Pakistan are a rare commodity and had been declared precious internationally. But unfortunately our penchant to destroy everything good has taken its toll on the archeological department as well. The Kech museum located in Turbat paints one such dismal picture. The Kech district possesses miscellaneous archaeological sites, such as the Meeri fort. The Kech museum wears a deserted look since most of its relics have been shifted to the Karachi and Islamabad museums. My plea to the chief minister Balochistan and the concerned authorities is to look into this crucial and critical matter and make the Kech museum functional.
