Lahore Gymkhana: Zia ur Rehman in the run with lofty goals

The annual elections of Management Committee of Lahore Gymkhana ate set to be held on February 4. Mr Zia ur Rehman is contesting the elections along with a panel comprising senior bureaucrats, senior and experienced medical professionals and businessmen of repute. The slogan of the group is “Here to Stay and Serve for a Year”. In a statement, the group pledged to restore the glory of Gymkhana dating back to 1878 as it come to power. “We as a group are custodians of the good old traditions of the club. Let the new committee inculcate new ideas and bring positive changes to the club through a comprehensive plan of action,” the statement read. “Let’s shun the status quo and be instrumental in bringing about a positive change at the club,” it added.
