Karachi: The Government of Sindh, Information Department has conducted three days workshop for the training of officers of the Department in which renowned speakers of print and electronic media delivered their lectures and experiences. The training was designed to deliberate new challenges of present arena of technologies.

Addressing to the concluding session of the training Secretary Information Department, Imran Atta Soomro said that the capacity building of the officers is an essential part of service because it enhances capabilities, performance and provide result oriented officers. He added that the Sindh Information Department is the ear, eyes, pulse and face of the Sindh Government and its officers closely coordinate with the members of Sindh Cabinet, Governor House, Chief Minister House and IG Sindh etc to promote soft image of the government.

He further said that the officers of Sindh Information department try to minimize the gap between government and the masses through media. To acquire better results the officers of the department should be equipped with modern techniques of mass media.

On this occasion, renowned speakers Manzoor Shaikh, Dr. Tauseef Ahmed, Mubashir Zaidi, Aajiz Jamali, Wusatullah Khan, Director Press Information Ms. Zeenat Jehan and other prominent personalities addressed to the workshop and said that it is the responsibility of Sindh Information Department to possibly make publicity and projection of the government through using latest media tools and available resources, they stressed to the officers of Sindh Information department to enhance their approach towards professionalism and technologies involving to the journalism.

Admiring the performance of Sindh Information Department they said that the department has always played its significant role in timely disseminating of correct information in the time of disasters and emergencies. Secretary Information Imran Atta Soomro distributed certificates among the participants on this occasion.
