Embrace your individuality

Author: Daily Times

Sir: Women’s rights around the world are an important indicator towards understanding wellbeing. In an Islamic society, women have an honoured position and, besides their legal and civil rights, enjoy special respect, love, affection and gentle feelings. However, all over the world, millions of girls and women suffer tremendous amounts of emotional, physical and sexual abuse and pain, as well as gender discrimination. Every man should realise that a woman brought him into this world and therefore he has no right to disrespect one. Moreover, women should understand and recognise their inner power — they have to remember the dignity of womanhood. Do not appeal, do not beg, do not grovel. Take courage and stand tall. You are strong, beautiful, compassionate and much more than words could ever say. Today is yours and so is every other day. Just embrace your individuality!
