Paying for a crime I did not commit

Author: Daily Times

Sir: There is no justice and no rule of law left in this society anymore. I have been made a victim of severe injustice and I know I will never have the satisfaction of seeing the culprits pay for their crime. I am not a well-to-do member of this fast track society nor do I have enough resources to constantly afford new things. After months of saving up, I bought myself a motorcycle on a monthly instalment plan; now my vehicle has been stolen and I am continuing to pay for it. What am I supposed to do? I can hardly afford to make ends meet but I am bound to pay for this crime. I have had an FIR lodged but I doubt anything will be done to address my grievances. I implore the authorities to do something about the increase of such crimes.
