And now for more important matters

Author: Daily Times

Sir: It seems the terrorists are at it again. In all the hullabaloo concerning media houses and the military institutions, we seem to have forgotten that we are a nation in the grips of a terror war. A prominent Karachi policeman, Shafiq Tanoli, has been killed by the Taliban after eight unsuccessful attempts on his life previously and now news is coming out that another bomb attack has struck the port city, killing at least four people.
There is a war raging on in our country and that reality should be dominating the airwaves and the minds of the people who run the show. We must not be sidetracked by other issues. I implore all the media houses and the country’s main institutions to concentrate on this menace instead of one another.
