Sir: For years I have been pondering over the utility of a domicile but sadly could not understand its efficacy. Could someone please educate me why cannot we do away with domicile?
Is it not enough for us to be Pakistani citizens? Why is there any need for further classification? Is it a constitutional requirement? Has it benefited the country’s system of merit?
Furthermore, having talked about the domicile, a permanent residence certificate (PRC) is also required. I will appreciate if someone from the lawyers fraternity or any learned professional can explain the utility of these documents and somehow get rid of them.
