The check post mania

Author: Daily Times

Sir: Last night while on my way home I was stopped by the federal police for routine security check at the F-8 check post. I showed all the necessary documents; the national identity card and driver’s licence, still the police did not let me go because they could not clearly see the chassis number on the engine for being not properly engraved. I literally had to explain them that it was the manufacturer’s fault and not mine. After a 20 minutes argument, they finally cleared me. The whole episode was pretty disappointing and as I headed home I kept asking myself if the police’s job is to provide security or become an added trouble.
