The woes of pensionerss

Author:

Sir: I want to talk about the miseries of those government employees who depend on pensions for their living. Their pension is much less than the minimum wage of a regular employee of any government department. It becomes really hard for them to buy costly medicines for physical ailments or psychological disorders, not to speak of the basic necessities of life. The finance minister and the prime minister need to pay serious attention to this neglected segment of society. A substantial enhancement in pensions, keeping in view the inflationary pressures, is requested.
