Sir: Apparently, the federal government has approved plans to build an expressway from Hassanabdal to Sarai Saleh which would be further extended to Mansehra through a western bypass via Abbotabad. This expressway will pass Haripur town, thus ensuring smooth flow of northbound traffic.
Reportedly the provincial government has also approved a 27 kilometre bypass for Haripur, based on a specific individual’s interests. This blatant wastage of state resources is questionable as the expressway would already serve the purpose.
