Govt failed to defend Kulbushan case in ICJ: Khursheed Shah

KHAIRPUR: Opposition Leader in the National Assembly, Khursheed Shah,on Saturday said thegovernment failed to defend the Indian agent Kulbhushan Jadhav case in the International Court of Justice (ICJ). Addressing an inaugural ceremony of a solar energy system to provide irrigation water to Umar Kas watercourse at Nara canal near Rohri, he said that Nawaz Sharif has always worked against the federation. Earlier, Saleh Pat was a deserted area, but now 7 cotton factories are operating there. He revealed that the project was completed at a cost of Rs. 200 million which was approved in 2009 by former CM Qaim Ali Shah. He stated that previously, Umar Kas was getting water from the Indus River, however it will now get water from Nara canal after the new solar power system. The 2nd phase of project will start with a cost of Rs 500 million. People in Ghotki are facing a shortage of water. Shah stated thatthe PPP government started developments projects of Rs 19000 million in Balochistan and are working for the betterment of thepeople there. He claimed that whenever the PPPcomesto power, it provides jobs to thousands of young people on merit. Shah said, “The government did not appoint a foreign minister as they were feeling alone but they are not alone and friendly countries are with us.” Khan believed Kulbhushan was arrestedafter a lot of hard workbut Nawaz did not even talkabout his case in the UN.
