Promoting football for a change

Author: Daily Times

Sir: If we look around we will see that the talent of playing football well is very much present in Pakistan. Today, instead of cricket, private school students give more priority to football. Therefore, I request the government to provide incentives to promote football as a secure and respected profession in our country. We have the talent but what we need is to polish the skills and provide players with a platform from where they can show their talent. Leagues, matches and tournaments between provinces can really be helpful in making our national team. Today if we sow the seeds then surely tomorrow the plant will itself show its beauty and our upcoming generations can benefit from it.
