SPSC and minority quota

Author: Daily Times

Sir: The Sindh Public Service Commission has announced that it would conduct provincial competitive service examinations in October for almost two hundred posts in various departments.

It has been observed that the SPSC is not following the rules in reserving the five per cent minority quota for long. Statistics reveal that Sindh is home to a sizable population of minorities living in the country. Ironically, minority candidates of the province are denied the opportunity of reserve quota in all provincial competitive examinations.

The authorities concerned are requested to look into the matter.
