SSP’s ‘target killer’ arrested

KARACHI: Police on Thursday has claimed to have arrested a most wanted target killer of a banned outfit Sipah Sahaba Pakistan (SSP) in a raid in the New Karachi indusial area, suspect was said to be involved in seven cases of sectarian target killings.

According to Shabbir Baloch, the SP New Karachi Division on Thursday at the wee hour’s police team of PS NKIA arrested an accused namely Muhammad Ibrahim near from Graveyard sector 6 – B of New Karachi Town.

Police recovered one hand grenade and 30 bore TT pistol from the suspect.

FIR No, 204/2017 has been registered with the police station under section 4/5 Explosive substance Act and another FIR No, 205/17 u/s 23 (1) has also been registered against the arrested accused.

During interrogation it was revealed that he is a target killer of a banned religious organization (SSP) Sipha Sahaba Pakistan and has been involved in 7 murder cases in the limits New Karachi.

According to the SP Shabbir further investigation was underway and a comprehensive report would be sent to the authorities in this regard.
