A flawed curriculum

Author: Daily Times

Sir: Curricular development no longer involves rational and integrated course design. Courses and subjects are added based on traditional practices rather than students’ needs.
I believe that the current curriculum of the Institute of Bankers of Pakistan for ISQ needs re-engineering.
It is offering the same basic courses (Economics, Information Technology, Communications, etc.) to all candidates who want to pursue their career in the banking industry.
There is no exemption or soft corner for candidates having 16 or 18 years of education.
Therefore, the IBP management is requested to take some constructive steps in order to ensure some sort of difference between a BCom and an MBA appearing in their underlying certification.
