Sir: In my neighbourhood in Karachi there are many open manholes right in the middle of the road. The fact that this is a very dangerous situation does not need highlighting. It is a residential area and this obvious neglect by the city government has made it impossible for children to ride their bicycles, motorcyclists to commute without worry and pedestrians to walk freely.
It is a terrible state of affairs when one cannot live a normal life due to the carelessness of the city administration. We have complained about these open gutters and manholes but our woes fall on deaf ears.
