A depressing loss for cricket

Author: Daily Times

Sir: As if we did not have enough things to pull us down here in Pakistan, our cricket team is also proving to be a let down in the one thing it is expected to do: play a good game. Winning or losing is not really the point here. The fact of the matter remains that our players have become very lacklustre and seem to have lost all motivation to perform well, just like the rest of the country. Take the one day international played against Sri Lanka yesterday in which we faced a humiliating defeat, and we realise that what we lack is encouragement and a push in the right direction.
Here’s hoping for some rejuvenation on the cricket pitch!
