Water crisis in Karachi

Author: Daily Times

Sir: This is in response to the City Cantonment Board (CCB), which has defended itself against the water shortage in the Defence Housing Authority.

I would like to state that daily scores of CCB water tankers are seen delivering water to their favourites in DHA Phase 5. They are supplied one free tanker of water every week whereas people like me have to pay Rs 2,000 for a tanker of water.

About three days back the price was raised to Rs 3,000 a tanker. May I ask the CCB where the water for free supply through tankers is coming from if it cannot supply any water through water pipes?
