Senior citizens and their pensions

Author: Daily Times

Sir: It is a humble request to our government to show some attention to the issue of imbursement of pensions to senior citizens. From the 1st to 10th of every month, senior citizens assemble in line in front of some designated government banks to collect their pensions. Now, as per the norm, they have to stand in line irrespective of their health condition. The fact is that some of them are sugar patients and others are cardio patients. Even if one omits the ailment part it is clear that they are above 60 and that naturally makes them weak and fragile. So, I would like to request the creation of a new way to distribute their pensions such as by post or courier so they do not have to stand in line for hours to wait and receive their pensions.
