Parking and traffic issues

Author: Daanika Kamal

Sir: I would like to make an appeal to the police and higher authorities to give at least single-line parking lots on all busy thoroughfares for example near Civil Hospital Karachi. There is a parking area there but it is always full, hence the patients who come to the hospital have to park their vehicles on the road. Also almost all commercial spaces, banks and supermarkets do not have sufficient parking areas. Visitors are forced to park their vehicles on the roads where the city traffic police have put ‘no parking’ signs, while the footpaths are occupied by hawkers and vendors. It has become a huge traffic problem.
