RAWALPINDI: The Education Department has directed the authorities to start hiring of 4,960 employees on vacant seats in various education institutions in Rawalpindi Division.

The hiring would be done on 1,350 seats of assistant education officers, 700 seats of education officers, 2,805 seats of secondary school teachers 35 seats of data entry operators and 70 seats of drivers.
Meanwhile, the department has also released a grant of Rs 631.7 million from the outgoing budget 2016-17 for the payments of salaries to these new hiring staff.
