Sir: Our armed forces have rendered priceless service and precious sacrifices in the fight to eradicate terrorism and extremism from the country and the region. The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) in his recent visit to the US gave the clear message that Pakistan’s government and armed forces have decisive dedication and effective strength to uproot terrorism and extremism from the country. Operation Zarb-e-Azab, launched by the military, was an appreciable step taken to utilise our zealous armed forces’ skills and to eradicate this menace. The COAS made it clear that Pakistan is working in the right direction with remarkable achievements and is very near its ultimate success. Now is the time for the international community to acknowledge in due appreciative terms the services and sacrifices rendered by Pakistan for the greater cause of peace in the world.
