PESHAWAR: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) spokesman Fawad Chaudhry said that some unidentified people had rummaged through the office of his party’s social media head in Peshawar on Monday and even taken away some vital hardware.

While addressing media outside the Supreme Court, Fawad Chaudhry claimed that the PTI’s Peshawar office had been “raided” but they were not sure as to who was behind it.

It could be the Federal Investigation Agency, he quipped. The FIA, however, denied raiding any office in the provincial capital.

The PTI spokesman claimed that the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) and interior minister Chadhry Nisar were plotting another conspiracy against the armed forces similar to Dawn Leaks.

He said that everyone who was being apprehended by the FIA was being told that the army is doing this, and even went to say that the FIA’s raids were bringing a bad name to the army.

23 people have so far been arrested by the FIA for their social media posts according to the PTI spokesperson.
