Nepotism at F-9 Park

Author: Asad Khan

Sir: Last Monday, a gathering of our friends with children went to visit Fatima Jinnah Park (F-9 Park). As we reached there, the park administration informed us that the park is normally closed for visitors on Monday for maintenance and renovation operations. But the facts were quite different because when we looked inside the park, families with children were enjoying the rides in the park. Upon asking, we were informed by security personnel that these families came in after a written consent from the Chairman! My question is, now the public places will also be used for the families and friends of those holding power? As a resident of Islamabad for decades, I demand an inquiry against all involved in this sheer injustice. I also request the Chairman CDA and those concerned to take stern action against such a blatant case of nepotism practiced in the heartland of the capital.
