Financial collapse

Author: Daily Times

Sir: As a nation we should thank the Almighty that Imran Khan never succeeded in convincing the people to go for a complete shutdown. According to economic analysts, the cost of a complete nationwide shutterdown strike of one working day, on average, is Rs 20 billiion. Besides disfiguring the image of Pakistan, it would have caused the collapse of the economy, which is already in the doldrums. I hope, in future, Imran Khan and Qadri will refrain from such shutdown calls because besides setting a wrong precedent, they are no less than a suicide attack on the fragile economy of Pakistan.
