No justice for the common people

Author: Daily Times

Sir: Quality of life is deplorable in our country. Recently, the body of a one-and-a-half-year-old girl, who had been reported missing, was found dead. According to medico-legal reports, the toddler had been raped before being killed. Her body was found near her residence in Nazimabad’s Jalalabad area in Karachi. The initial examination and postmortem established that she was not only raped but was also subjected to sodomy. If a political murder happens in our country, the entire nation observes a shutterdown strike and violent protests are observed, but there is no value of the life of the common public that is victimised in such a brutal way. If this incident had happened to the daughter of any tycoon or political person, the reaction would have been so different. Life of the common people is really cheap in Pakistan.

The police have ensured that the culprits will be arrested and the family will get justice but we all know that such cases have no results. There have been thousands of cases like this but never have we seen justice.
