Controversies-prone cricket team

Author: Daily Times

Sir: As the event of the Cricket World Cup 2015 is approaching fast, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) must not ignore the controversies that our team has to face all the time. In the World Cup 2007, Shoaib Akhtar and Muhammad Asif were dropped because they did not clear a dope test. In the World Cup 2011, Muhammad Amir and Muhammad Asif could not become part of the team due to spot fixing. In the present event, our legendary bowlers Saeed Ajmal and Muhammad Hafeez have been stopped from bowling due to their suspect action.

The PCB should realize this situation and should create a back-up reserve of players. It should not depend on a few players. The PCB should get our players to pass the dope test before the start of the mega event. If any player does not clear the test, PCB should remove that player because it will bring shame later.
