Terrorism in society

Author: Daily Times

Sir: The recent tragedy of a suicide attack at a religious gathering in Rawalpindi is a continuation of a wave of terrorism spread all over the country. The Lal Masjid incident, a number of blasts at district courts, hotels, attacks on GHQ, sectarian violence, series of target killings were all part of the nefarious designs of the terrorists. Recently, the government has taken a number of measures to wipe out the scourge of terrorism from society. It has introduced the 21st Amendment to the constitution, revitalized intelligence agencies and paved the way for the establishment of military courts.

Through this letter I request the army that they should launch pre-emptive strikes against all terrorists, while social, print and electronic media should also play their role for eradication of terrorism.
