Sir: Government’s machinery and our armed forces are working ardently to wipe out terrorism and make the security of our beloved motherland invincible while restoring its heavenly peace forever. As briefed by the Interior Minister in the National Assembly, so far 500 operations have been conducted under the National Action Plan. A total of 2,065 suspects have been arrested and the noose around 60 banned organizations has tightened. It is to be appreciated that the minister categorically reiterated the government’s policy that no foreign pressure will be accepted for inclusion in or exclusion from the list of banned terrorist organisations. It is heartening that the government is vehemently pursuing its national interests and has the courage to withstand any conflicting international pressures. It is hoped and prayed that such sincere efforts in this decisive battle against terrorism will bear fruits of everlasting peace to our beloved country.
