Pakistan Independence Day

Author:

Sir: “You are free; you are free to go to your temples, you are free to go to your mosques or to any other place of worship in this State of Pakistan. You may belong to any religion, caste or creed — that has nothing to do with the business of the state.” These were the wordings of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, which clearly show the picture of the Pakistan he dreamed of. But unfortunately, in present day Pakistan, nobody is free to go to their temples, mosques or any other place for worship. Whenever a person goes for Friday prayers, he is not certain whether he would come back or not. This is Pakistan where the security of illegal places has been put on high alert while no security is provided to mosques and churches. There is no check and balance to tackle this situation by the government.
