Acting on National Action Plan

Author: Daily Times

Sir: As reported in the newspapers from time to time, the Interior Ministry and all law enforcement agencies are actively working on the security strategy and defence vision formulated by the government and military leadership. So far, 50 cases of hardcore terrorists have been referred to nine military courts for speedy trial and subsequent justice while a number of executions have been carried out. There are reports that a new policy on prisoners’ exchange and Exit Control List is in the offing that will make these security tools more effective and contribute towards this vital and decisive battle against the menace of terrorism. These efforts by the civil and military leadership should be appreciated and supported by society at large. All the citizens should also play their role in rooting out all those factors that help facilitate terrorists to carry out their evil agenda.
