Sir: The Pakistani examination system needs a complete overhaul and improvement. The purpose of our examination system is to test the memory of students rather than their intelligence. It has become a common practice that average students purchase cheap notes or guess papers from the market and cram a few answers of important questions and get good marks, while an intelligent student often fails to get very good marks because he does not rely on such cheap stuff and crams few answers. Further, the assessment system is outdated and needs improvement. Through your esteemed newspaper, I would like to draw the attention of the concerned authorities towards this important issue. The government should take necessary measures for improving the standard of our education system.
