Wifi in Metro buses

Author: Daily Times

Sir: Recently, I travelled by the Green Line Train launched by the Pakistan Railways. It was really a good experience for me. Although there were a few issues but overall it is a good initiative. The facility of Wifi was quite handy for me to stay in touch with my office, clients, family and friends through the social media. Another good project of the government is the Metro Bus Service (MBS) for the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad. As per reports, more than 100,000 commuters will travel daily through this bus service. According to the details, there are almost six to eight universities and many colleges on the bus route, which means it is very beneficial for students. I would like to request the metro bus authorities to do a joint venture with PTCL for installing Wifi facility in metro buses as it was done in the Green Line Train. It will be a great attraction for passengers and will help job holders and students to utilise their travelling time in a much better way. I hope the MBS authorities will consider this suggestion to match the level of transport services with international standards.
