Sir: Through detailed research, it was discovered that there is a government department called the Prime Minister’s Public Affairs and Grievances Cell. It is however learnt that this department has been kept secret and the public has little information about its working. Hilariously and ironically, there is no mention of any such department on the Prime Minister’s official website, which is the main source of publicising all such information.
There is no contact information of that wing (postal address, telephone, FAX and email) advertised or disseminated through the Internet on any other website of the government. In the age of electronic governance, there is no online complaint and grievances management system deployed for the public, for the efficient resolution of their grievances and the efficacy of the department itself. What is the point of maintaining such a cell by using taxpayers’ money in the garb of public service, when the public has no accessibility to this department?
