LAHORE: Pakistan Awami Tehreek Chairman Dr Tahirul Qadri will be arriving at Lahore on June 29 at 7am. The PAT chief will leave London on 28th and arrive in Dubai for his journey to Lahore.
PAT Supreme Council chairman Dr Hassan Mohiuddin Qadri announced this. He was addressing a meeting on Saturday at the PAT Secretariat.
A special committee was formed to oversee the arrangements to greet the PAT chief. The council members criticised the unscheduled load shedding and the agony the people have to undergo during long power outages.
The meeting participants demanded immediate removal of the two power ministers and the prime minister come on TV and explain the reasons behind the unscheduled load shedding and explain that despite clear orders it continues during Ramazan.
The meeting warned the government to end load shedding during sehr, iftar and taraveeh times otherwise the PAT will take to the roads and stage sit-ins and protests.
Speaking to the meeting, PAT President Dr Raheeq Ahmed Abbasi said that the government should stop making a fool of the people by falsely announcing cuts in load shedding.
He said the people want to know the fate of the Nandipur Power Project, Quaid-e-Azam Solar Park and the numerous MoUs signed for power projects.
He said on the very first day of fasting the false government agreements have been exposed and issuing a warning note he said this load shedding must end otherwise protests will be launched in every street of the country.
Sheikh Zahid Fayaz, Rafiq Najum, Ahmad Nawaz Anjum, Farah Naz, Jawad Hamid, Farhat Shah and Noorullah Siddiquie attended the meeting. Qadri went abroad for treatment last year due to his poor health.
