Fawad Khan’s PSL anthem recieves mixed reactions

Published on: January 21, 2019 12:49 AM

The fourth and latest anthem for Pakistan Super League was unveiled on Friday and the reviews are in. The track titled, ‘Khel Deewano Ka’, which has been sung by Fawad Khan and produced by Shuja Haider of Coke Studio fame is receiving mixed reviews on social media.

Soon after the song’s release, users took to twitter to share their reaction. “#PSL4Anthem Dear Fawad, please quit the impersonation of Tom Cruise, specially of Top Gun era,” wrote one user.

Some compared it unfavourably with the previous versions sung by Ali Zafar, “This PSL anthem is not comparable with previous ones, @AliZafarsays compositions were far better than this one, especially season 2 “Phir seeti bajay gi, Stage sajay ga”. Play one line from that song and you immediately get hit with #PSL4Anthem.”

Positive comments also flooded in with one user writing, “I just can’t stop listening to #PSL4Anthem What a powerful lyrics! Teri meri ragon main jo khoon doray hai Yeh hai woh game mere dost, jo dilon ko joray hai.”

“Why is everyone being so hateful towards it? C’mon guys, if an actor is good enough to entertain you by all means, learn to pay back. Appreciate instead of spreading hate. #PSL4Anthem is going to be the most repeated track in almost every home in the country,” wrote another.
