Bangladesh wicketkeeper-batter Litton Das has raised concerns over Pakistan cricketer Mohammad Rizwan, accusing him of showing unsporting behaviour by allegedly refusing post-match handshakes following recent Test matches between the two sides.
Speaking at a media event in Bangladesh, Litton Das said that Rizwan’s actions after the matches were “unprofessional” and did not reflect the spirit of cricket. He claimed that after Bangladesh’s victory in the first Test, Rizwan did not participate in the customary handshake with the opposition players, which he described as disrespectful.

Litton Das further stated that even if Rizwan had personal differences with him, avoiding handshakes with the entire Bangladesh team was inappropriate. According to him, such behaviour affects the image of the game and sends the wrong message about sportsmanship at the international level.
The Bangladesh wicketkeeper recalled that tensions had already surfaced during the second Test in Sylhet, where both players were involved in a brief on-field exchange. The situation reportedly escalated over a disagreement involving movement near the sightscreen, before the umpire stepped in to calm things down.

Despite his criticism, Litton Das acknowledged Rizwan’s importance to Pakistan’s batting lineup, noting that he and former captain Babar Azam are key players capable of influencing matches. He also admitted that Bangladesh had been aware of Rizwan’s strong record and had prepared strategies to counter him during the series.

Litton added that playing in extreme conditions, especially while keeping wickets in high heat, was challenging, and that emotions often run high during competitive series. However, he stressed that respect should remain central to the game regardless of on-field rivalries or match outcomes.
