Minister for Kashmir Affairs Amir Muqam has demanded a KP CM apology for remarks against security forces. He said Chief Minister Sohail Afridi insulted the armed forces during a recent media talk. Muqam urged Afridi to apologise to the nation and to the families of martyrs who sacrificed their lives for Pakistan’s safety.
Earlier, Afridi claimed that security forces violated the sanctity of worship places by using sniffer dogs inside. His comments triggered strong backlash from political leaders and citizens. As a result, KP Governor Faisal Karim Kundi condemned the statements, and a case was registered under the electronic crimes law.

Muqam accused the chief minister of damaging national institutions. He stated that Afridi’s remarks encouraged Pakistan’s enemies. According to Muqam, even a union council-level politician would avoid such reckless comments. He said Afridi ignored the weight of his position as the chief executive of a province.
During the press conference, Muqam also criticized Afridi’s political party. He claimed that their governance in KP relied on slogans instead of results. Moreover, he said the party had failed the province for over a decade by delivering no meaningful reforms.
