Sir: Education is the basic right of every human being. It makes a person able to understand those things which are happening in their surroundings. This is a thing no thief can steal. If we study the history of developed nations, they made education as their basic tool to get prosperity. There are two types of education: formal and informal. Informal education starts at homes. Formal education starts at schools. Education makes every individual an active and responsible citizen of the country. But unfortunately there are many flaws in our education system. There are many reasons behind that. First, poverty is the basic reason in our country. Most of the people are living below the poverty line. So they cannot afford the basic needs of life, what to talk of education. So, mostly people prefer to send their children to seminaries. Second, low educational budget and corruption are also contributing factors. Third, gender discrimination is also very common reason behind our educational problems. Mostly people in rural areas do not want to send their girls to schools. Fourth, unequal education system is also a main cause. Educational courses are different in public and private sector schools. This thing has divided our educational system into two parts. So there is a dire need to make new educational policies. Although there are many existing educational policies, yet mostly these are not implemented. Education is necessary for the development and prosperity of a country. It is my request to the concerned authorities and government that they should make new policies for our educational system and take favourable decisions to eliminate these problems and implement a uniform syllabus in the country.
