NEW DELHI – Ghazal singer Ghulam Ali, who was scheduled to perform on Tuesday at a cultural event in Bhavnagar, has cancelled his visit, organisers of the event said.
“Due to unavoidable circumstances, Ghulam Ali has informed us that he may not be able to come for the event. Other programs are running as per the schedule. Ali may not come to collect his award too on the last day of the event”, said organising committee member J J Mankad.
During this four-day event, Ali and nine other famous personalities associated with various fields of art were to be presented with awards, The Times of India newspaper reported.
As per the schedule released by the organisers, Ali along with five others was to be given ‘Hanumant Award’ on the concluding day of the event on April 22.
